Job placement

Over the last few weeks, we have launched a job placement program aimed at protected categories, which has led to the hiring of Vincenzo, a person with Down syndrome, at Coremo. The project was developed in synergy with other actors whose involvement was fundamental to ensuring the success of a rigorous and respectful process. In particular: Specific selection steps at the heart of the process The selection process involved specific timescales and stages, which were fundamental to its success: Structured and professional integration Once the contract was formalized, the employee, like his other colleagues, joined the company with clearly defined roles. The person performs their work in accordance with organizational and procedural standards, as well as defining objectives and deadlines so that the worker, in line with company practice, can gradually acquire autonomy in the performance of their duties and integrate into Coremo's overall processes. The integration includes: Vincenzo at Coremo We have described a business process that is inclusive in every way; however, we would like to conclude by highlighting two further aspects of particular importance. Vincenzo, with his uniqueness, which to some might appear to be a limitation, has proved to be a source of enormous added value for Coremo. In fact, it is precisely the care and precision with which he performs simple and repetitive steps that make him the right person for the preliminary phase of brake assembly, a phase that is anything but secondary. In a position where another person would see demotivation or a short-term task, Vincenzo manages to express himself and the value deriving from his human uniqueness, thus demonstrating that every situation should always be viewed from different points of view.Last but not least, the successful integration of Vincenzo into Coremo could not have been achieved without the involvement of his direct and indirect colleagues in a training course offered by AGPD, which was met with enthusiasm by its participants. This course allowed them not only to recognize Vincenzo's professionalism, through knowledge of the specifics of his syndrome, but also to consider another valid aspect of any professional and non-professional relationship. The evidence in Vincenzo's condition forces us to reflect that each of us has specific characteristics, experiences, and stories that determine the way we think, interpret the world, and act in it. Therefore, it is always necessary to question and reflect on ourselves and others so that the relationship can lead to good results in a manner consistent with its context. In summary

"Participating in the creation of corporate change"

Coremo joined the training project "Participating in the Creation of Corporate Change," which was created to lay the groundwork for the transformation the company is undergoing to meet future challenges. Employees were divided into two groups, consisting of representatives from each department (administration, technical, production and sales). Through playful activities, mirroring normal company dynamics, assisted by a supervisor, initial difficulties emerged due primarily to time management and ineffective communication, as well as lack of collaboration. Facing these challenges, the teams realized the importance of listening, mutual respect and cooperation, improving the way they expressed their ideas and working together toward a common goal. Initial skepticism gave way to the realization that they could be a key part of corporate change. Each participant, working on himself or herself, learned to listen to each other, be less self-critical and, above all, remove prejudices against each other-all of which led to visible growth of individuals and teams. Since the last meeting there has been an improvement both in understanding the difficulties of others to better support them and in facing daily challenges with cohesion and team spirit. A journey that began as individuals is leading Coremo to sail as a close-knit crew in which each sailor feels and strives to be a key part of it or like hardworking worker bees who make themselves available to each other to create their hive. All participants thank those who made this experience possible, hoping that this journey will continue and lead to new fruitful results.

A solution for corrosive enviroments

Industrial brakes often work in particular environments. For a specific project, Coremo carried out a comparative study between different alternatives, such as treatments or painting processes combined with stainless materials. Through spray tests, technical nspections and economic analysis Coremo has identified a suitable solution for these ID2000 200kN hydraulic brakes which are addressed to the marine sector.
