"Extreme Applications". Coremo brake calipers designed for highly corrosive environments

Coremo constructs applications for extreme environments where the product is subject to mechanical and thermal stresses and exposed to highly corrosive conditions.

For the emergency braking system in a new Pipe Tensioner plant, a major oil and gas multinational chose twenty-four G3.5N type spring-applied pneumatic brakes, custom-built with SP61 marine coating and components rated for off-shore use.

To fit into the machine's construction design and meet technical requirements, the brakes were assembled with right or left-hand thruster and a number of  springs calculated for the specific braking characteristics.

Products were completed by inductive ON-OFF sensors and final painting in a custom RAL colour.

ABS standard product certification was provided.
