Pneumatic caliper brakes and modular solutions belong to a category of compact, easily installed industrial brakes which can be combined together to provide a modular braking torque, varying depending on the number of units installed on each brake disc.
These brakes are designed complete with mounting bracket able to accommodate one or more brake units. Constructed in aluminium, they are lightweight yet also very high-performing. Their ability to work at low pressures and their proportional behaviour make them particularly ideal in continuous braking applications, for tensioning cables and materials wound on bobbins and reels.
Also available in spring-applied/air-released version, these brakes are able to provide very effective emergency braking thanks to specifically tested friction materials.
Apart from the standard TB and TK versions, this range of pneumatic brakes includes the S-MAC and SB model floating brake solutions.
The S-MAC version, supplied complete with floating mounting bracket, is self-centring in the event of disc misalignments. Inside the unit, the friction pad is operated by a synthetic rubber diaphragm able to function even at very low pressures (0.2 bar), ensuring exceptionally reliable, smooth, precise braking.
The SB version, equipped with floating bracket, also ensures correct disc centring in case of misalignments. The SB floating brake is available both in oil-applied/spring-released and spring-applied/air-released versions. The spring-applied version also comes complete with cable for connection of a pad wear indicator. Pad actuation is via an internal piston with sealing system.

The TB2-V model pneumatic brake is quick-release braking solution designed for use with mobile reel stands that need to be completely disengaged from the brake at the end of the process. This solution comprises two Coremo oil-applied calipers (TB model) rigidly mounted on a brake body, a ventilated disc 302 mm in diameter, a pressure gauge, and a quick coupling for fixing to a grooved profile. The brake is easily moved by means of two convenient handles, for mounting on and removal from the grooved profile on the reel stand. Torque transmission is guaranteed by an anti-rotation slot, while a pressure regulator, also rigidly mounted on the brake body, enables the operator to modulate caliper pressure by controlling the torque delivered to the reel.

The “MICRO” caliper brake is an inexpensive, practical braking system designed to provide extremely low torques with easy installation in machinery. The product is complete with mounting bracket, steel disc 103 mm in diameter and 4.5 mm thick and a square-section hub. The disc has a floating mounting on the hub to ensure correct alignment with the caliper. This brake has relatively limited heat dispersal, making it suitable for low-speed applications. Two versions are available: the standard MICRO standard and smaller MICRO-R.
