Two ID2000N-116kN model hydraulic safety brakes (spring-applied) + one ID900 model oil-applied hydraulic brake + two compact hydraulic power packs + one flexible coupling complete with steel brake disc + one toothed coupling complete with steel brake disc.
Coremo hydraulic brakes for 60 kW horizontal-axis wind turbines are ideal for emergency braking of the rotor or as parking brakes. Hydraulic safety brakes are installed on the rotor's output shaft and provide high braking capacities and rapid engagement speeds. Braking is extremely effective and efficient, guaranteeing safe stopping of the system in case of gusts over 25 m/s or during turbine maintenance and installation. An additional Coremo ID900 oil-applied hydraulic brake was installed on the input shaft of the reduction gearbox to reduce the mechanical stresses on the drive system in case of emergency braking when the spring-applied and oil-applied brakes are operating simultaneously. The supply package is completed by a compact hydraulic power pack to operate the brakes and the power transmission couplings complete with Coremo steel brake disc.
Coremo hydraulic brakes have been installed on hundreds of wind power generating systems up to 200kW, making their contribution to renewable energy production.
